So you can keep Alvarez--who could be a long-term keeper--or trade for Bulter, who wouldn't be able to be kept after this season? (not sure if I'm reading that right)

IF that's the case then I go with Alvarez, he has a higher power ceiling at a much thinner position. I like Butler but he just hasn't displayed power and projecting him to do so after so many ML at bats is trouble. Alvarez (though it's admittedly very close in my eyes).
