I'm not sure he classifies as buy low? Most owners are more than likely eager to get their ace back and won't have the same mentality as say an Uggla or Choo owner? Just my 2 cents.

Well he was supposed to be back btwn July 1-3, but now they moved him to the 60 day DL, which means he'll be back even later than that. I was planning on using that as a reason to buy low.
I'm in a standard H2H mixed league non keeper, with the following team below. I've just completed a trade that should show my lineup as follows. I thought that, with Sandoval and hopefully Heyward coming back, I can afford to give up some hitters to acquire a top pitcher. Paul Konerko and Trevor Cahill for Justin Verlander and Raul Ibanez. Is that a good deal for me? Here is my team
My team: C Matt Wieters (Bal - C) 1B Paul Konerko (CWS - 1B) 2B Aaron Hill (Tor - 2B) 3B Alberto Callaspo (LAA - 2B,3B) SS Troy Tulowitzki (Col - SS) OF Jacoby Ellsbury (Bos - OF) OF Matt Joyce (TB - OF) OF Logan Morrison (Fla - OF) Util Corey Hart (Mil - OF) Util Drew Stubbs (Cin - OF) Util Brett Gardner (Tor - OF) Util Michael Brantley (Cle - OF)
SP Trevor Cahill (Oak - SP) SP Cliff Lee (Phi - SP) SP Jhoulys Chacin (Col - SP,RP) SP Bartolo Colón (NYY - SP)DL RP Brian Wilson (SF - RP) RP Kyle Farnsworth (TB - RP) RP Eric O'Flaherty (Atl - RP) BN Jason Heyward (Atl - OF)DL DL Pablo Sandoval (SF - 1B,3B)DL BN Roy Halladay (Phi - SP) DL Brandon Beachy (Atl - SP)DL
My pitching staff is quite strong, but trust me, there's a stronger team with a larger bunch of strong pitchers who is currently perched in 1st place in my league and running away with it too!
I know hitting is tough to come by, and Konerko has been RIDICULOUS and I don't think I'd be selling him high, I expected these numbers from him despite his age and what people have said about him coming in to this season. Bottom line, I can move Sandoval to 1st base and not take the hit in 1B, plus there are other 1B that can fill the void. So should I do this trade?
My general rule of thumb is to never trade an elite hitter for any pitcher.
Although we could argue back and forth on describing Konerko as "elite", I think we'd agree with his #'s last year coupled with his progress thus far this year, he's at the top of the hitter list.
That being said, there are just too many good arms out there for you to give up your #1 or 2 hitter behind Tulo for an arm.
If you feel you have depth, target a SP and go the 2 for 1 route with your depth vs. your top guy.
Just my 2 cents, but I feel you're giving too much in this deal losing Konerko.
Listen, I have this huge trade on the table for my other league, which is a 10 team, H2H points league.
The trade is:
I trade: Adrian Gonzalez and Jhonny Peralta
I get: Tim Lincecum and Danny Espinosa
The problem with this league is that pitchers are favored HEAVILY in terms of points. For example:
Wins: 8 points K’s: 1 point each Complete Games: 10 point Shutout: Another 10 points
Crazy stuff, because a pitcher like Lincecum can have a ton of points in a two-start week. (Assuming he turns things around) And I already have a stacked offense, in my opinion at least.
Anyway, so my team is in 9th place and I need to make a move. Is this a good deal for me?
Here’s my team:
C- Soto 1B- Pujols 2B- Figgins 3B- Youkilis SS- Castro CI- A-Gonz, Hosmer, Sandoval MI- Ackley, Peralta OF=McCutchen Chris Young Matt Kemp Brett Gardner Domonic Brown
Hey King. This may seem like a long question, but I'd love some help... THANKS!!
Hi Everyone, this is my first post and I would love some feedback on the trade proposed below. Do you think the 12th place team is giving up to much?
I have tried to provide as much information as possible, but of course will provide more if needed. Just let me know.

League Type: Roto – 12 team keeper league Leage Settings: 5x5 – Avg, Runs, Rbis, SBs, HRs, WHIP, ERA, Saves, Wins, K’s Auction draft. 25 man rosters – 3DL Spots. $260 in auction funds Players can be kept for a progressive increase from the amount they are drafted at. 1st year = $2 increase, 2nd year = 4$, 3rd year = $6, and so on. Main players involved: Josh Hamilton (drafted in 09 for $13. Will be $19 in 2012) Ryan Braun (drafted in 11 for $39. Will be $41 in 2012)
Offer: 5th place team is attempting to make a run at 2011. He has offered the 12th place team Josh Hamilton for Ryan Braun and an additional mid-range player (B. League is being discussed). 5th place team justifies the additional player by saying that difference between Braun’s remaining 2011 production and Hamilton’s remaining 2011 production won’t be enough to put him into the money. 5th place also says that Hamilton can be kept for $25 in 2013 and possibly even $33 in 2014. 5th place teams roster: C Miguel Montero 1B Paul Konerko 2B Aaron Hill 3B Chone Figgins SS Starlin Castro CI Albert Pujols MI Dan Uggla OF Corey Hart OF Josh Hamilton OF Álex Ríos OF Coco Crisp Util Mitch Moreland BN Maicer Izturis BN Ichiro Suzuki BN Vernon Wells DL Pedro Alvarez SP A.J. 12th is starting to punt this year and look towards next. Is Braun PLUS another player (B. League) giving up too much to get Hamilton and $22 in auction funds for 2012?
