Cahill and Bell for Latos? - WHIR

Postby jbird669 » Wed Feb 09, 2011 12:37 pm

I'm in a 12-team 5x5 Roto keeper league with a $260 cap. I have been offered Trevor Cahill ($4) and Heath Bell ($8) for Mat Latos.

Latos was a nice surprise for me last year. I like Cahill but think he's due for an ERA regression. Bell is a great closer and saves are highly prized in my league. This owner also has CJ Wilson, which I am thinking of asking for in place of Cahill.

Should I take the original deal or offer Wilson instead? Or should I stand pat?

I will gladly help in return.

not a bad return, I take it Latos is dirt cheap as well? Thats a great price for a top closer, wins in SD could be tougher to come by. Be sure to include prices for CJ & Latos as this one is a close call

Whoops, forgot about that! Latos is $10 and Wilson would be $4.

I would stick with Latos and Bell. I expect regression from all 3 SPs mentioned. Bell is solid.

Cahill will regress, but at $4 will still be a profit.

Cahill/Bell at $12 i like over Latos at $10.
