In a 14-team, up-to-10-keeper league where minors-eligible players don't count towards the limit, My top-10 are:
Braun V-Mart A-Gon Zimmerman Reyes Prado Josh Johnson Wainwright Latos and Jered Weaver...
After Weaver comes Heath Bell and Jhoulys Chacin, both of whom I'd be happy to keep. After my championship season last year, my minors are a touch depleted... I have Brett Lawrie (2B-Tor), Nick Franklin (SS-Sea), Peter Bourjos (OF-Ana), Jeanmar Gomez (SP-Cle) and either Reese Havens (2B-NYM) or Brandon Allen (1B-Ari) to close out...
I could trade Weaver and Lawrie for Dustin Ackley (2B-Sea), Mike Minor (SP-Atl) and Grant Green (SS-Oak)
Do I do it? Basically, in terms of how it would affect my team for next year and beyond, would I rather have
Weaver, Lawrie, Havens/Allen and Gomez
or
Bell/Chacin, Ackley, Minor and Green
I am a believer in position scarcity, and with Prado moving to the OF, Ackley could be a big plus. So could Lawrie, but he's farther away from the bigs, and hasn't shown as much.
Thoughts?
Leave a link, and I'd be happy to help you out.
Thanks,
Dave

I typically take proven talent in this situation. I have been burned too many times by minor league guys who look like sure fire studs, only to fizzle out when they make the bigs. I would keep Weaver (a top 20 SP IMO), Lawrie (my 22nd overall prospect), Allen (big power, should get ABs in MLB this season) and Gomez.

I agree with this all as well. I think the deal is a good one and you are getting some good prospects back but it is hard to trade a proven player for a bunch of projections. Odds are only 1 of those guys will be worth owning over the next few years.

Ackley's future is still up in the air. Everyone predicts he can become a batting champion. However, they said the same for Howie Kendirck, who regularly hits 0.300/15HRs/15SBs -nothing spectacular. Ackley's power outage last season has a lot of scouts worried. For this reason, Lawrie doesn't look so bad. Stick with Weaver.
