Keeper help

Postby marshallb » Mon Feb 07, 2011 6:30 pm

I took over a team in a 12 team H2H each categories league, starting 1 of each infield position, 3 OF, and 2 UTIL with 9 P spots and 5 bench spots. I've made several moves since taking it over, but it's still quite the mess and I need to select my keepers still. We keep 20 players. Here are my 17 sure keepers:
Brian McCann C
Billy Butler 1B
Howie Kendrick 2B
Casey McGehee 3B
Alexei Ramirez SS
Delmon Young OF
Juan Pierre OF
Angel Pagan OF
Ike Davis 1B
Neil Walker 2B

Matt Garza SP
Ricky Romero SP
Jaime Garcia SP
Gavin Floyd SP
Johnny Cueto SP
Travis Wood SP
Matt Thornton RP

My final 3 spots are between:
Alfonso Soriano OF
Scott Rolen 3B
Danny Valencia 3B
Scott Baker SP
Dallas Braden SP
Koji Uehara RP
Clay Hensley RP

So, I ask, which 3 of those would you keep in this situation?

Braden, Soriano and Rolen seem to have the most value of any of the ones you listed.

Braden, Soriano, Valencia. I first thought Rolen but think I would stay younger with Valencia and the possible upside with his BA and youth versus Rolen's aging stat line. :-?

Soriano, Valencia, and I would take Baker over Braden....Braden's fantasy value is extremely low

Help with mine?

I would've also said Rolen but not even sure if he has a contract for 2011???? Braden and Baker are a toss up but Braden definately plays in the more pitcher friendly park so I give the edge to him.

I would take Baker as well.
