NL Only Auction Keeper Help

Postby wackadoodle » Sun Feb 06, 2011 5:07 pm

NL Only, 12 teams, up to ten keepers, standard $260 plus $4 for 4 extra bench spots. Standars contracts. Very competitive league with huge inflation especially on position scarcity among free agents (last year Fielder went for $61, Rollins $45, Utley $53, Halladay $43, to give you an idea of inflation prices). I've got eight spots sewn up (five pitchers, three batters). My last two are among these choices-

F SANCHEZ 2/2
TULOWITZKI 51/2
I STEWART 5/OPTION
C RICHARD 2/2

Richards I don't really need with three starters being kept. Stewart is a big fat question mark right now with the possibility of Young coming over. Sanchez is an injury liability but is cheap. Tulo is awesome but the price is high. Other ss available will most likely be Hanley and Rollins (not Reyes). Whatcha guys think?

I think I would take Tulo given how other free agents have fared in the past.

I think I would take a chance on Stewart. I don't think Young will effect his playing time.

I like Richard, especially if its a league you can bench him for road starts. He's going to put up great #'s at home again. Never been a fan of devoting a fourth of the payroll to 1 player, especially if that player isn't named Pujols

Stewart who should be 2b and 3b eligible for 6 bucks is a steal. he should put up Dan uggla like numbers if he plays everyday.

Tulo is just too damn good, even though hanley and jroll are being thrown back you can rest assured that Hanley will be higher than what you got Tulo for and Rollins might come cheaper, but he's a risky option. Keep the sure thing, even though it is expensive.

Stewart has a lot of youngsters pushing him. Richard is a likely trade candidate (Yankees rumors), Sanchez can't seem to stay healthy and the only category he'll help in now that he's out of Pitt is AVG.

Tulo is well worth the $51 given the inflation of your league. He's not only a top SS he's a top overall fantasy performer.
