Chris Davis?

Wanted to know your opinion of Chris Davis, 1b/3b, Texas Rangers. He is still 24 years old, and a power guy. He had his shot in the bigs. The first time around he looked good and the bonafide future first baseman. The second/third time around was a strike out fiesta. What do you think his future holds and his he worth much in the long term.

Well, while Davis does have talent as some value he loses 3B eligibility in 2011 and is strictly a 1B. So, his value will be limited and he'll have to beat out Moreland in Texas or be traded in order for him to be worth something at this stage.

I'm thinking more long term value instead of just next season. A trade obviously would boost is value.

He could be a great candidate to move on and get a fresh start. I don't see his approach totally changing much.... but a .250+ w/ 25-30 hr pop should find a home somewhere, or at least another chance.

Russell Branyan has always found a home but it took him a long time to find a starting position.
