It's a 20-team league and we keep 8. It's a points league with the following cats/pts: Batting: 1b/2B/3B/HR - 1-4, Rbi 2, R 2, SB 3, K's -0.5, BB 1 Pitching: IP 3, K 1.2, ER/BB/H -1, SV 7, QS 5, CG 7, ShO 10
Now I wanted to send Zobrist, as SS is shallow this year, but oh well. I think Kershaw isn't too far off of Johnson, and Johnson scares me a bit with his injury last year. Holliday is a def upgrade for my offense. I think I did good, right?
Now I got to decide on my last keeper. It'll be these guys for sure.
2B: Utley- 3B: Longo- OF: Zobrist (The only guy I'm iffy on) OF: Holliday P: Ubaldo- P: Kershaw P: Marmol
Now, for the last spot. Do I keep another Sp? Sp basically won the league last year, but Volquez is no sure thing. Stubbs is a guy I really like, and may keep him over Zobrist anyway. Or Should I stash Trout?
OF: Trout OF: Stubbs BN: Volquez

I like the trade. If given the choice I'd probably take Kershaw over Johnson straight up. I think he's going to have a great year while Johnson is always an injury risk and he may not get many wins no matter how well he pitches.
As far as the keepers, I don't agree with the rest of the posters. Stubbs is the sure choice in a 5X5 roto league, but in your league I'd go with Zobrist. They both have similar XBH totals, but Zobrist takes a lot of walks while Stubbs strikes out quite a bit. Add in some positional versatility and Zobrist is your man.
I also wouldn't keep Trout just because he's a long ways away. I like the guy as a minor leaguer, but probably wouldn't keep him at the expense of major league talent. So I'd go with Volquez. A guy who can strike out a batter an inning has value no matter which format you're playing in.
Thanks for the help. I'm still pretty torn. I think I may end up keeping both Zobrist and Stubbs. The only reason I contemplate keeping Volquez is that pitching was the key last year for many teams, and pitching will go fast.
I have a guy interested in Zobrist and he has Romero and Nolasco on his block. I like both better than Volquez, so I might inquire about that.
