Assuming you keep 7 players period? No round drafted or optional number of keeper type rules? I'd keep
Billy Butler* Jose Bautista* Elvis Andrus Jason Heyward* Ryan Zimmerman * Jacoby Ellsbury Dan Haren Tommy Hanson Mat Latos Neftali Feliz Roy Halladay *
...then two out of Hanson, Ellsbury, Haren, or Latos. I think those last three are close enough that you could pick your favorite and go with it. I'd probably take Hanson and then Ellsbury and try to trade him later since I dislike Latos and Haren more than I dislike him.
You could also look around your league for folks reaching for their last keeper spot or two and try to trade some or all of those four for a 4th or 5th round guy you like more if that's allowed and if anyone is interested.
I can keep up to 7 players. It does not matter what round they were taken in last year. If I keep 7 my first pick would be in the 8th round. If i keep less then 7 my first pick would be the round after my last keeper. If that makes sense.
Jose Bautista Jason Heyward Ryan Zimmerman * Roy Halladay *
Depending on what's out there in the 5th/6th, I'd be tempted to keep just these four. Otherwise, I'd go with Ellsbury, Latos, and Hanson to round out the 7.
No need to keep both Ellsbury and Andrus IMO. I would keep neither, but again it depends on if you will know who the pool of remaining players will be in the draft.
I'm a Braves homer so of course I'd keep Hanson. But I again wonder who the pool will be. If by throwing a good arm like Hanson back could bring you a great bat, I'd take the bat. You need MI help, and I imagine the draft will be slim pickins' at MI if ya'll can keep 7. Maybe try to trade for MI help (this is why you might keep Andrus, I just personally don't draft in the top 7 rounds with steals and runs as my main priority)
