No - Mark this - "Braun will be the NL MVP this year." Also it is a 1 catcher league and catcher is deep. Hamilton carries an injury risk as well. Hope this helps.

My heart says do it. My brain says keep Braun and draft a catcher.

I say do this deal. Braun is an elite OF, but so is Hamilton barring injury, but Carlos Santana is a potential elite C as well.

I would keep Jose Reyes, Kelly Johnon, Paul Konerko, Ryan Braun, Wandy, and Ubaldo and take 4 extra early draft picks as compensation.

I'd be tempted to drop Konerko, Wandy, and/or KJ to get three more early picks. The worst that could happen is you get them back, right?

I am good with dropping KJ and Wandy probably keep Konerko though.

As for trade, I think I would do this. I don't love Hamilton (injury risk) but you could flip him for some other younger guys (like Bruce or Stanton) to start rebuilding. Santana would be a nice addition for that as well.

It amazes me how many people are comfortable putting their season in the hands of Josh Hamilton. Maybe I'm just bitter...

If it's a 1 catcher league I'd rather have Braun than Hamilton + Carlos. Hamilton is always a question mark, and in a 1C league not having Carlos won't hurt you too bad, you can put pretty much any schmohawk in there and be fine. I don't like making trades in the hope that I can flip of the players I get for another.
