Big Trade WHIR

Postby KSig24 » Mon Jan 31, 2011 7:15 pm

Should I trade Dunn and Bautista for McCutchen and Kinsler in a keeper league?

Or should I offer Youkilis in place of Bautista in efforts of getting Cruz? I like the fact that Kinsler is 2B and Utley is getting older so I need the depth at this position in Kinsler.

Thank you guys in advance.

I'd take this deal and run. McCutchen is sick and if you add Kinsler and have him and Utley, you can trade one or the other easily during the season due to scarcity ( not as much last couple of years but still scarce none the less). Dunn is old and Bautista will mash but not like last season, you're getting younger and thats always good in keepers.

What if he asks for Youkilis in place of Bautista?

He is also willing to give me his 7th round pick which is technically 17th round including our keepers for my 10th rounder. Ready to deal, just looking for some more advice.

Let me get this straight

You give: Dunn and Bautista
You get: McCutchen, Kinsler and a pick

Do this deal. No question. McCutchen is a top young OF and Kinsler is a fine 2B that just can't stay healthy. Dunn and Bautista are solid players but not guys to build around unlike what you are getting in return.

Dunn is only 31, the same age as Pujols.
I do like the AM side, since Bautista will regress.

You take that and run before the other owner sobers up in the morning. Kinsler/McCutchen>>>>>Dunn/Bautista.

Anyone offering trades this early is an easy mark. Offer him what you originally asked for, but shoot for the stars. Go for Cruz, but don't give in to anything else. He/she will bite. I guarantee it!

Nobody addressed the fact that he wanted Youkilis in lieu of Bautista.

Thanks for the great answers fellas,

Even if you deal Youk, I would say yes to the deal.
