CBS Commish setup- standard roto?

Postby mkultra » Thu Jan 27, 2011 4:25 pm

Am I missing something, or does CBS not offer a simple 5x5 Roto option in their custom league setups? If I select "Rotisserie" as my scoring option, it forces me to select a weekly/biweekly/monthly scoring period. The only year-long option seems to be a points-based ranking.

I'll leave a more precise answer to those who have been commish for their leagues on CBS, but I have been a participant for ten years now.

Our league is a fairly standard roto league - with scoring based on cumulative stats for the year. However, the site also refers to weekly scoring periods that you can look at as a subset of the total standings. (so I could look at week 3 and see how teams did just in that week - or I could look at the total standings, which would have the cumulative stats on it).

Perhaps it is related to how often you make roster moves (we are a weekly transaction league).

Again, I cannot tell you how it looks from behind the commissioner curtain, but I would not be too worried.

CBS has Roto. The Weekly Scoring Period is just want to go back eight weeks and see how your team did, you can do that or if you want to set up a certain number of roster moves for a scoring period you can set it weekly or biweekly or monthly. I have found little use for the scoring period option. I just put mine on weekly and forget about it.
