How does Kevin Brown(me) for Brian Giles sound?

Brown and Giles are both solid, although Brown's value drops because of worries about his health. If you're trading from a strength to fill a need, this sounds good. Brown could probably fetch a solid bat at a shallower position as well if of isn't a primary concern.

Pitching is my strength. I posted my lineup in the other thread. Friggin Sheffield pulled a hammy...grrr. I like Brown, but do worry about his health. I think i'll do the deal. I do need Inf help, but the other owners are over valuing their talent. Thanks again.

Sure thing. Yes, I checked the other thread. OF obviously isn't your primary need, but with Sheffield on the sheff, er, shelf (ok, that was pretty awful :-P ), Giles will be able to pick up a lot of slack. Plus, his trade value should be high in case you plan on making further deals.

ANother owner is interested in Brown also. He offered Aramis Ramirez. I'd rather have Giles just because he's a proven 30hr, 100rbi type guy, whereas Ramirez has only had 1 good year. I countered with Sean Casey and Armas Jr for Todd Helton. Sound fair? I'm also willing to substitute Armas Jr. for Padilla or Brown. But I figure i'd feel him out with Armas first.

I agree that Giles is a safer bet than Ramirez. Your offer for Helton sounds a bit low, though, at least with Armas, but perhaps it could work if you offer the other team their choice of several sp's... Good luck!
