I'm in a 12-team standard stat + Holds/OBP roto league. I'll hold off listing keeper prices until the they are locked in, but regardless, I need to slash quite a bit of salary and I always look to move my starting pitching before looking at moving my bats. Anyway, my pitching staff is:
Zack Greinke Justin Verlander Mat Latos David Price Jordan Zimmerman
I was just offered Brett Anderson for Verlander. I think at this time, I would trim a buck off my bloated salary. I like Anderson's upside beings this is a keeper league, but of course, Verlander is a stud. Given the circumstances, would you make this deal? WHIR as always!

You really dont know what you might get with either Anderson or Latos moving forward, whereas Verlander is the real deal for a while now. Depending on the Latos salary, I would just look at trying to move him.
If the difference between Verlander and Anderson is only a $1 then I would keep Verlander. I would rather just cut Zimmermann than downgrade from Verlander to Anderson.

It all depends on how big the salary difference is. I like Anderson and think he's undervalued this year, and when he logs a full season it'll be a pretty good one. However, Verlander is a proved commodity.
Thing about it is that I'm not going to get good enough value for Verlander, or any other of my studs for that matter, since I'm so over salary. I'm five bucks over right now and it could very easily be more than that. The one player that is gone for sure is Beltre at 2.30. It's also tough trading because I'm limited to who I can trade with because some owners also have salary issues while those that don't don't have the players I desire for someone like Verlander. Our keeper prices lock down in just over a week, so I will list more detailed information when I update our league with the prices and lock them down.

I'd still hang on to Verlander. Greinke is probably where you're going to see the greatest salary relief and return. Hard to know for sure without the numbers though.
Can we assume that Verlander and Greinke are your highest paid of the SPs? I think that you might be able to get more for Greinke (or may need to deal him as well), but the Verlander for Anderson deal isn't bad considering how much you save.
