Projection sites

Postby Surfs up » Sun Jan 16, 2011 11:32 am

My computer crashed and I didn't have any backups. I have restored pretty much everything I could remember. But I am missing a couple of fantasy sites that I enjoyed looking at. One was a weekly site. They broke down each posistion and the top overall list.
I can't remember the name. Anybody throw some sites at me ? Maybe one of you will hit it > I know we all have our own projections but this time of year I'm looking at everything.
Thanks

RotoChamp has their projections, and also the CAIRO projections.

Fangraphs has Bill James projections and their own Fans projections.

I like different sites for different reasons:

Fangraphs - on almost daily. Tons of good stuff there.

I will also tell you that I make my own projections and ranking every year, which I'd encourage you to do as well cause it will help with your drafting and overall knowledge. Start simple, but herer are a few guys at variou sites that you should eadand study.

Rotoworld - matthew pouliot is excellent at SP/ RP. Additionally, he gives valuable advice about linei_ps and impact hitters have in certain slots, parks, etc. I've learned a lot about pitching from him over the years.

RotoExperts- very good at recognizing value and I tend to think their general rankings are the best in the business and probably the guys I tend to agree with the most.

Yahoo - believe it or not, yahoo has a stellar baseball mind in Scott Pianowski. Really like his depth
of knowledge when it comes to IF/ OF.

Yes i know these sites as well. I actually sent Matthew Pouliet some Vermont Maple syrup when he moved into his new place in Florida a few years ago.
I have seen many sites but I was hoping somebody would post the one that I really liked. I just can't remember the name of it.
I do some of my own projections but its alway nice to get the insite of others.
Thanks for your help ;-D

The Chone projections were one of the best, but they're not being released this season because the author got picked up by an MLB team. They were posted at baseballprojection.com and it was my go-to reference for projections last season. I'm not sure how often they updated, but they had a blog so maybe that's the one you're referring to.

Another possibility is ZiPS, which are done at baseballthinkfactory.org
