Australian Floods

Postby dAnzac » Sat Jan 15, 2011 12:16 am

As you've probably heard, Queensland in Australia has turned into an enormous big brown lake.
Mega-millions/billions of damage and at least 15 dead.
(If you feel like donating to the affected peeps go to http://www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate.html)

Anywho, the town where my in-laws live down here in Victoria has caught the very edge of the ridiculous deluge, and I thought I'd share some pics.

Yes, been raining here for months it seems. The craziest thing was the flash flood in Toowoomba, which is basically on top of a mountain.

Droughts, fires and floods. Australia is more affected by global warming than most countries in the world. We are all being affected by severe weather but Australia more so than most.
