Is it just me or did soriano seem to be hard to figure out?
He was inconsistent as ever when I watched him play for the Braves, an NL team mind you.
Goes to Rays, shuts the door 45/48 times, playing in a loaded AL east division.
I can't get a good read on this guy. Will he be successful in the pinstripes? he has shown he can blow a lead with a few pitches(I've seen plenty of blown saves,ty bobby jenks) or you don't even have to worry with the bases loaded with no outs and a 1 run lead.
Is this just an act to counter bosox's jenks + papelbon combo? Not like that combo needed a counter... redsox got twice as many chances to blow a lead now.
I personally think that stadium is going to treat soriano with the good and the bad.
Losing picks to sign this guy from the rays was idiotic imo... Rays certainly know how to draft good talent and they will use it very well.
the money obviously doesn't matter, yanks basically have their own treasury to print money.

It's not just Papelbon and Jenks. Bard and Wheeler are just as good. Those four trump the Yanks' duo in everything but salary. This smokescreen shouldn't fool any fans into thinking the pitching situation is in anything but dire straights unless Pettitte comes back or they bite the bullet on Pavano.

Wait....Papelbon and Jenks are good relievers?
