1rst time dynasty league

Going to be doing my first dynasty league. Will be drafting minor leaguers(5) with pros(25). Non salary cap. can anyone recommend any sites that offer dynasty rankings and advice.

Well this place is a great place to start if you are looking for advice.

As for Dynasty draft rankings, I don't know of any. But any dynasty league I have been in, it seems to draft pretty close to a normal draft. A guy like Heyward might get picked a round or two earlier and a guy like Carpenter might go a round or two later but that is about as different as it gets. You are still playing for this year so you might as well draft the best players and not try to project to many young guys especially early in the draft. In the second half, that is where I would probably reach for a younger guy like Stanton and start looking to draft minor leaguers like Trout and Hosmer.

The main difference in a dynasty draft is that you might tend to ignore those boring but steady vets in the middle and especially later rounds in favour of youth and upside (although that's not a strategy exclusive to dynasty drafts). It also might change some of your A or B type decisions at specific spots in the draft too. That said, MuaDib's advice to not go to crazy for youngsters in general is solid.

I always look at the beginning of a Dynasty league as no different than most other drafts.
Just too early to worry about the up and comers too much.
Now later on, does become different.

So, you said 5 minor Leaguers.
Do they have to be in the Minor's, or is it more of a prospect listing.
These are very minute differences, but are still there.
Make sure you understand the rules and ask questions if you are not sure.

Well they can be prospects but there's an AB and IP limit before you have to permanently put them on the regular roster
