Mar 26 Because of ongoing tenderness in his right Achilles tendon, Prior's bullpen session on Thursday was postponed indefinitely. There's also no timetable in place for getting the righthander back in the Cubs' rotation. Prior won't pitch in any scenario until he is pain-free.
Advice: The cautious approach makes complete sense, but there is the possibility that this injury will be an ongoing concern this season. The fact that the same tendon was a minor problem last September raises a red flag. The Cubs are hoping that once a healthy Prior can work pain-free on the mound, which is where the tendon clearly absorbs the most stress, the problem will be over.
I'm starting to panic here. A sore achilles is not exactly the best thing to pitch with and I'm even more worried since the injury has been lingering since September. I can trade him for Helton straight up, but if Prior is healthy i don't want to. WHats your take?

thanks for the help. And i'll be sure to rub it in when the yankees win another World Series this year. I won't forget this.

i am a little worried but it just seems that the cubs are being ultra conservative. it is best to take care of this now and that is what they are doing.
i cant give you trade advice without seeing the rest of your team. i rate helton higher than prior but i dont know if you can really absorb the loss of prior or not.
