2011 Median Draft Position (MDP) - Updated 3/25/11

Will there be another update either on or before the 25th? I have a draft on the 26th so I want to know if the current mdp is the one I will be using at my draft. I will be sending a donation at the end of the month. Thanks!

Two questions on the average price column on the sortable spreadsheet:

(1) How is that figure derived?

(2) What are the assumptions in terms of roster size, total salary cap, etc.?

Do you plan on removing the players who are retired & who are out for the season such as:

Adam Wainwright (2012)
Andy Pettitte (Retired)
Stephen Strasburg (2012)
Kris Medlen (2012)

P.S. There is only 1 "L" in "Wilin" Rosario's first name

@AHF: The xAV figure comes from a natural log function formula linking ADP to historical auction data. It assumes $260 cap and typical 5×5 categories.

@METS 24: Retired players will be removed. Injured players will remain. I already fixed Rosario's name as I was doing the tiers yesterday. Guess I missed it in the other list though. Thanks.

R&C, just stumbled upon this site/post by way of the comments section on Razzball. After seeing your spreadsheet I decided I should create an account to congratulate you on this great piece of work you've made available. If this were the only source I used before my draft I'm sure I would be ahead of most of my league mates. Thanks a million.

What are the last four columns supposed to show and why are the last two (Col O & Col P) whited out? At first I assumed they were confidence intervals and one of them was just mislabeled but after further inspection that doesn't seem to make sense.
