CBS Auction Room?

Postby skalina73 » Thu Dec 23, 2010 2:51 pm

Hey all-

First time/long time...My baseball league is switching from a draft to an Auction...We used to be on CBS but i'm really starting to fall in love with ESPN's sites/games (have several other leagues on ESPN)...However, the only item holding us back from switching to ESPN is that ESPN currently does NOT maintain a salary cap (we want to do that)...CBS does...My big concern though is that in the past on CBS we've seen issues with the CBS draft rooms(s) and with that I'm wondering if anyone has done a CBS auction and what kind of performance they've seen? This is just in the event that ESPN doesnt make any mods to the 2011 product.

I have used the CBS pay Commissioner for an Auction League for years. It maintains a salary for each player, contract years and a team salary cap. It features all kind of scoring. We run a regular Roto league with player salaries. We meet for our Auction and then I input each players salary that night. It is really a good site. == We have never used the Auction Room on CBS, which is what I believe you are referring to. You might find your answer about the Auction Room quicker at the CBS site. If you ask the question, I am sure you will get an answer quickly. Good Luck == PS - Last year for the first time I used ESPN seeing if our CBS league could switch to ESPN since it is free. I found that you can bid on players but there is no way the system maintains the players salary through out the year. It is no good for maintaining salary and contract years from one season to the next.
