After chatting with a Brew Crew fan friend of mine he doesn't like this deal. He said, "don't like it. Gave up our SS and CF for the next decade." He also said, "You can keep Jeffreyes, he's a pot smoking idiot."
As a Royals fan, I don't like it either. I mean, it's the same old song and dance. Once Cain and Escobar get close to FA status (if they pan out!), they will be flipped for other prospects, forever being in a vicious cycle of rebuilding and NEVER competing for anything better than third place.
No 1 seems happy with the deal:Royals fans(wanted bigger names), Brewers fans(gutted farm system for an '11 run), Jays fans and other possible landing spots for Greinke who would have given more. maybe that means its a reasonably fair deal; but we probably won't really know till 2013

Im doubting Cain was the CF for the next decade. He is a nice prospect and all, but still ..
He's a 250-260 hitter, with no power, and a little speed. Maybe 4th outfielder for the next decade ...
Blah...I figured we'd be able to hold out for an amazing deal if we were going to trade him this offseason because we really don't have to trade him right now. I'm not a fan of this one at all....feels like we settled.
