In order to steal bases, he has to get on base, which I don't think he will do very often. He was a terrible minor leaguer and he was an old rookie last year. Crawford is very young and is primed for a big year. Crawford is not only better 1-to-1, but even has more value relative to where they're drafted. People that draft guys like Ensberg and Pods will be dissapointed when they discover that career minor leaguers who have good rookie years don't tend to repeat. Crawford is a much better option.
