Trying to catch lightning in a bottle apparently is the Cashman fallback plan. How about buying some rabbit legs and praying for divine intervetion while we are at it? Russell Martin and Mark Prior...I hear Sheffield is making a comeback too...maybe he should give him a call as well.
I like how you criticize all the moves he makes but never offer up any alternatives. What should the Yankees have done this offseason? I look forward to you imparting your vast baseball knowledge to us.
Thank you. I thought I was the only one here.
I feel Cashman is very underrated. The Yankees do spend a lot of money, but at the same time, they have also won 4 WS under Cashman. Javy Vazquez didn't pan out the second time around, but at the time it was widely viewed as a great move by Cashman as in that trade the only piece which Cashman might regret giving up is Vizcaino. The Granderson trade was also viewed as a steal for the Yankees because many felt Austin Jackson was overrated. Who wins that trade is still up for debate. The Yankees year after year have one of the top 3 teams in baseball. I find it hard to believe that NYY fans can be so unhappy with Cashman.
