Nah, who do they have to replace Looper with? Besides the Mets showed a lot of patience with Armando Benitez last season, why should we expect a whole lot different this year (well maybe because they have illusions of making the postseason I guess)?

As for Mesa, yeah, the Pirates showed a lot of patience with Mike Williams last year too, but Mesa was so bad last year, I figure he'll probably not have the longest of leashes.

Either way, I think either Rocky Biddle, Mike MacDougal, or Danny Graves will lose their job well before Looper.

Looper sucks really bad, but he's definately their closer. Same with Julio. I can see Biddle and Koch losing their jobs really fast. Koch especially. MacDougall is another guy I wouldn't want as a closer on my team.
