The only thing that ESPN does not support is auction leagues. There is no way to record player salary or contracts. If it is just a draft league, ESPN is fine.

They do have an option for an auction draft, but I do not know what it entails.

The general consensus from my owners that played on ESPN last year is that ESPN offers everything that CBSsports does, but at no cost. This will be my first year doing a competitive daily league on ESPN. So far I like what I see with the ESPN website, navigation and commissioner tools. Add in the fact that there is now an additional $160 in the payouts and I must say it seems like a no-brainer. I don't see why anyone would pay CBS the $160.

CBSsports does a good job, but $160 seems steep considering the competition is free. I'm curious why anyone would choose CBSsports over ESPN.

Because CBS lets you customize your own statistics. I'm not talking about picking them; I'm talking about calculating them.

I could never go back to the vanilla stats again.

Also, FWIW, I did a football league on Yahoo this year. I tried using a picture of some topless Swedish girls as my avatar and got a reprimand from Yahoo. Bah.

I did notice the lack of stats customization. We lost a stat because of that, but my group would rather sacrifice some customization in favor of paying out more money to more owners.

Fantrax is fairly new. I have heard some good things about it. It supposedly has about what CBS does and it is free. I am curious to hear how it is working out for the guys using it this year.

ESPN is totally sufficient and free.

I still have several $100 off coupon codes for returning leagues. Hit me up via a message and maybe we can work something out.
