If this is true the Yankees almost have to sign Lee, especially with how many lefty bats the Red Sox have now.

My Projection on that line up:

Crawford
Peddy
Gonzalez
Youk
Papi
Drew
Lowrie
Salty
Jacoby (whose value drops)

$20+ million for a healthy Ellsbury with .45 better SLG? :-b What a gross overpay. I'm excited the Sox handcuffed themselves for the next 7 years with this contract.

Crawford is a good player no doubt, but $20 million? :-P

Nah. He will sign with New York now. They almost have to give him a blank check now.
