Crawford will be worth every penny. It's a huge opportunity for him to further develop into the superstar that he is. You know this, I know this, we all do. Don't give me the "his legs will break down" nonsense. Crawford's work ethic and prep is legendary. From a fantasy prospective, power numbers going up and SBs going down is a good thing. And anyone who cites the "he hasn't drove in 100" arguement is also full of it. He hasn't driven in 100 yet huh? No kidding. He's been hitting at the top of a Devil Rays/Rays/Jellyfish line-up his whole career. He was moved to third in the order this year, and guess what? 90 RBIs. 110 Runs scored. I will happily take that total every year, thankyouverymuch. In fact, that would mean boston pays 100,000 for every run he scores.
For the life of me though, I can't understand the Werth contract. Why would Washington blow their load like this, when if you chill out a year you could go after Pujols or Fielder? I understand they are ready to compete now, but yuk. IMO, he's more of a complimentary player, not a primary player.
