both are scrubs. And the friars will probably get a pick back when Bartlett leaves next winter.

Only problem is they have to let Bartlett play this year and he really isn't very good. Maybe he can catch a little bit of the 2009 magic, but I doubt it.

meh, Bartlett's a fine enough shortstop especially if San Diego is just looking for someone to fill a short term void. It's true that he can't hit a lick but he makes up for that with his glove and baserunning chops.

I guess it depends on how much stock you put into defensive metrics. His fielding stats have gone down every single season in his career. Last year he was the worst defensive SS in the league according to UZR and overall in WAR he was the 4th worst SS in the league.

I am pretty sure that I watched more Rays games last year then you did, and I can assure you that the metrics from last season were right on the money. His defense really was terrible last year.
