Good for the O's for finally getting a power bat, even if it's flawed.

Plus Reynolds played his college ball not far down the road at UVa so it's a homecoming of sorts.

Man first Werth now Reynolds. The Beltway is buzzin with hot stove activity lol.

Good. Can't wait to watch him strike out vs. Lester, Romero, CC, Price, Buchholz, Hughes, Joe Blow Shmoe, and a paper bag.

Nice buy low for the O's. And they didn't have to give up Tillman.

Does this change Reynolds value at all?

My first thoughts as well. I might have to bump up the AL East starters a bit due to the extra Ks that Reynolds will provide them. :-b

Sucks for baseball to see Toronto and Baltimore both building solid baseball teams that won't contend because of the division they're in.

so does this put Geoff Blum on one of the corners in Arizona? Maybe Towers will trade for Kouzmanoff.

Give it a couple years. Don't know if you're being facetious, but Toronto will compete in 2012. I would have liked to see them make a run for 2011 as well considering they wouldn't have needed to give up much. Bring in Manny for a one-year incentive laden deal as a DH and sign Putz to be the closer is all it would have taken, really. Maybe trade Drabek and somebody else for Greinke and get him signed long term, that's the only part that'd mortgage the future at all.

I don't think this helps the Orioles much at all though. .289 road wOBA is not encouraging from a player at a offensively productive position, and it's not like he's a wizard with the glove. Considering how often he strikes out and the likelihood of hitting below .200 next year, if he goes into any sort of HR slump, his confidence and the fans' support will be shot to hell fairly quickly. If they had lost Tillman in the deal it would have been disastrous.

And more importantly it sucks for you guys, because you'll have to see me complain about not getting respect forever. :-D

Though an additional wildcard spot would certainly help matters.
