He's right y'know. Actually, the precursor came when they gave 1/3 of the team to Matt Holliday. To keep Pujols would mean that literally half the payroll would be assigned to two guys. If the Cards where any kind of smart, they trade him to get something, cause there is no way in hell they will afford him when he hits the market.

It looks like he's taking things pretty serious. He's reportedly dropped 20 pounds. That should also help the knees. Anyone think that there is a chance that he bats in front of Albert? LaRussa generally likes putting OBP guys in the two hole.
