What do you guys think of my team and this possible trade?
I would not do that trade. Sure Prior is nice, but you are losing too much offense.
Overall, good team. You need a better 2b. I guess when Reyes become 2b eligible you can put him there. Meanwhile, check the waiver must be someone better than alomar.
u have a nice balanced team now, the guy offering the trade has a good eye in spoting where you should tweak (sp), you would give 2 nice players, although wilson does k alot, for 1 of the top 3 pitchers and a proven jap star that should get plenty of steals, BA, and some pop, I would take the trade, you can afford to give up the pop wilson gives u
If there is baseball in heaven!!!! Be very aware of the starting lineup

What are your feelings on Prior's injury? I know he should only miss a couple of starts, but is this something that could nag him all season? What do you think about substituting Schilling instead of Prior.
I know my 2B is weak, and yes when Reyes gains 2B eligability, he will be my starting 2B. The only available 2Bs are:
O Hudson
Hairston (I love him, but don't know if he is healthy)
L. Rivas
The way I look at it, there is a chance Alomar can return to his old self. And none of the FAs are good. The problem is I still need a MI. My plan now is to trade Baldelli for a MI in a few weeks.
Back to the trade, do you think Furcal will be as good as last year, or was that an abberation? Also, am I better off with Schilling over Prior? I know Matsui is a risk, but I'm a big Mets fan and would love Reyes and Matsui together and I feel that I have tunnel vision because I am a fan. I need the "outside" opinoin on Matsui. what does everyoen think?
Your offense looks pretty balanced and solid IMO. I agree that you can afford to pull the trigger on that deal. You need to sure up that rotation some and what you lose could be made up for some off the WW or trades down the road possibly.
Schilling or Prior?? Tough question. I can't make up my mind. I don't care that Prior is starting the season on the DL, I am just worried about the rest of the year
Just took another look at your team. I think you can do that trade...Pujols and sexon should provide you with enough power. I'm a bit worried about your pitcher. Is there any MR on waiver with low ERA and Whip with a good k/9 ratio? You don't have any hold guys on your team. Guys like Soriano, Valverde, Donelly, Leskanic
If you get Prior, you don't need Myers, Nen and Meche
Thanks for looking again Rick, Valverde is available.
He didn't accept that trade for Prior. The more I think about it, considering the categories in my league, I think offense is so much more important. I think I'm going to hold onto Wilson.
Nonetheless, I still another SP. I am trying to trade with the same guy because his pitching staff is unreal and he needs offense. I propsed this:
I give:
Furcal & Myers
I get:
K. Matsui & Colon
What do you think? If he doesn't accept I'm thinking about offering Garcia instead of Myers. Is that giving up too much?
Either way should I drop Meche for Valverde? My only SPs would then be Zito, Beckett, Morris, Garcia, Myers (hopefully Colon instead) is that enough?
