When ESPN uses their "Player Rater" they don't take into account position scarcity. If Buck Showalter lets Soriano steal 30+ bases in Texas (while batting in the middle of the order), he'll top the player rater IMO.

Pujols will probably be the best player not considering position scarcity. Cosidering position, it'll probably be A-Rod. SS/3B is a very nice Bonus.
