A question in fantasy ethics

Postby Prophage » Wed Nov 17, 2010 4:20 pm

Is it ethical to accept a trade from a last place team that might seem unfair in favor of a team that is in the upper half of the standings?

The trade itself isn't that ridiculous, but at the same time it could definitely raise some eyebrows.

In early August I was offered Dan Haren for Chris Johnson Domonoc Brown. This was right after Haren was traded. Johnson was on a tear at that point and Brown was supposed to be another Stanton.

Even though the team was in last, I don't think they were giving up. They did remain active for the rest of the year.

If you were in my place, would you accept this trade?

This is a non-keeper by the way.

Yes, i'd do this trade every time. You can't control other teams.

Why do people keep thinking that the next hot rookie(s) will bring them positive results with 3/4 of the season already done, well when you're in last place - any port in a storm. Ugly trade, but no reason not to accept. Personally I'd like to see the owner that offered the deal not return for 2011.
