Hard to argue with Posey & Feliz. Heyward a fairly close 2nd in NL; Austin Jackson same in AL

Feliz was impressive....but Jackson should have won the award. Same goes for Heyward in the NL. No doubt that the playoff runs by each players' respective teams helped their causes.

Voting is done before the playoffs, isn't it?

Also I think it's hard to really justify giving any substantial award to a relief pitcher, but Feliz was the #2 closer in the AL this season behind Soria, and Jackson was the #4 CF, well behind the leader Josh Hamilton. Obviously Jackson was more valuable to his team, but there's a weird fixation on saves as being worth anything and that skews the votes. Can't argue with Posey getting it over Heyward, though. Maybe it's not fair to pro-rate his numbers as if he'd played a whole season, but he's neck and neck with McCann for WAR per game. Could have gone either way, though.

Now lets see some MVP results. Jose BOW-teesta, baby!

posey plays catcher. heyward plays right field. posey's numbers are much more impressive coming from a catcher than heyward's are coming from a right fielder. it probably could have gone to either of them, but you are delusional if you think it is crazy in any way.

Delusional? Yeah, because you're so objective in this scenario.
