I used to heart Manny when he was the heart of the Red Sox order and was mashing, but his inconsistent effort and attitude and "Manny being Manny" act got tired near the end. We told LA that's what they were getting, and sure enough the loved him at first but got tired of his act soon enough. Don't see how that's so hard to believe that many fans have a what have you done for me lately attitude? Overall though Manny's Pro (bat) outweighed his Con (everything else) but it must be worse in the locker room, where fans don't really care.

I for one would welcome a one year incentive-laden deal bringing Manny to Toronto. I think we could have the horses to enter a playoff race in 2011, and there's not much to lose if it doesn't pan out. They could probably trade some prospects for a couple decent closer candidates - guys like Putz, Belisle, Betancourt, or even Benoit. Or hell, bring back Frasor and Downs if nothing is available, although that would be costly - 4 top 50 picks, essentially. Could be a fun year, and it's good to have somebody like AA that you can trust to be active and making shrewd moves.
