Where will the land what?


1 Cliff Lee - NYY. Sabathia will be deployed to talk him into signing. If Pettitte retires, this is pretty much a lock.

2 Carl Crawford - Angels. They've got Torii Hunter on the case, and are prepared to spend. Hopefully this much money takes them out of the Beltre race.

3 Jayson Werth - Tigers. Need: bat. Have: money

4 Adrian Beltre - Toronto. EdwinE = LF or cut, Bautista = RF, Beltre = 3B. In my opinion TOR will outbid BOS (and the A's ). BOS probably won't overbid, because they feel they don't HAVE to have him.

5 Victor Martinez - White Sox. They need both a 1B and C right now. (And a DH)

6 Jorge de la Rosa - WAS. They'll miss out on Lee, probably by miles. This is their plan B.

7 Adam Dunn - ATL. This is too much of a perfect fit

8 Paul Konerko - CWS/ARI/SEA/DET. If CWS don't want him, quite a few teams will be interested as he's said he doesn't mind DHing.

9 Rafael Soriano - HOU/LAA/BAL. Some team is going to overpay for him. Not as many teams will be looking for a closer this year IMO.

10 Carlos Pena - BAL. If he's cheap enough TB might even have him back.

11 Carl Pavano - MIN.

12 Hiroki Kuroda - SEA. In the tiny chance that NYY don't get Lee, I'd imagine they'd be interested.

13 Brandon Webb - CLE. Somebody is going to pay real monies to find out if he's not finished. They will most likely regret it.

14 Javier Vazquez - ARI/HOU/WAS. Can't see him wanting to be in the AL again.

15 Manny Ramirez - Retired. Every "expert" is saying the A's, but I just can't see it. I don't think Manny has an unburned bridge left to cross.

Two names linked with the Tigers already that I hope don't even get a sniff from Dombrowski...
VMart is a liability at C, our 1B is already studly, and we've got plenty of guys already vying for our DH spot.
As for Werth... let's just say we're looking for a left-handed bat, and hopefully one who mixes in a shower or two every week.

4 Adrian Beltre - BOS (They'll pay for his production, at least as much as anybody else will offer.)
5 Victor Martinez - CWS (No clue on this one really, just copied from above.)
6 Jorge de la Rosa - DET (I really like the idea of having a Verlander/Scherzer/Porcello/de la Rosa/Gallaraga rotation)
7 Adam Dunn - WAS (I haven't really heard too much about what he wants other than this... don't know if money is the deciding factor here)
8 Paul Konerko - ARI (Why not? If the White Sox decide they can't bring him back, they'll be ecstatic to see him in the NL, where he won't kill them like Thome did this year.)
9 Rafael Soriano - LAA (LA turns out to be the big spenders this off-season)
10 Carlos Pena - TB (No insight or thoughts here.)
11 Carl Pavano - MIN (They love him up there, and he's not going to command too much of a bidding war.)
12 Hiroki Kuroda - LAD (Again, not much of a pitching market this season, but I don't think a bidding war will start.)
13 Brandon Webb - ARI (If anybody needs this to pan out, it's the Dbacks. After years of waiting on him it would kill them to see him go anywhere else and succeed.)
14 Javier Vazquez - WAS (Anywhere in the National League would suit him just fine).
15 Manny Ramirez - SEA (because everyone involved is dumb.)

i don't have Boston taking anyone in the FA pool because i believe they are going all in on Adrian Gonzalez this off season. If they move Ellsbury in the deal you may see them push a little on CC i know it sounds crazy that they might bring on those 2 large contract's (when they sign A-gonz) but both players are young and there skill sets will play for the next 1/2 decade easy.

That was Ricciardi that essentially said his nickname isn't "Big Donkey" for nothing. He basically said that Dunn just happens to be a guy that can hit and doesn't care too much for playing baseball.
