How to properly stuff a greeting card into an envelope

Stuffing a greeting card into an envelope? Is that a euphemism for something?

If I could be serious for a minute, I thought holiday cards were a thing of the past, like newspapers.

Mrs Lambs and I always have this argument
i say the back of the card should be facing the person opening it, with the end that opens facing down
she likes to put it with the front of the card facing the recipient (i dont even know if she cares which way the end that opens faces)

Gotta go with the missus on this one. Depending on the thickness of the envelope I don't want the front of the card showing through the front. I also don't want the price to be the first thing they see.

Regardless, whoever is sending the card should do it however they want. Sending a card is a lost art nowadays and getting a card whether facing forward or backward is a great gesture.
