You guys really don't like Cust, do you? At this point he's probably as good a stick as Berkman, and just as clumsy in the outfield, I presume. I know you have grand plans for the off-season, but your OF and DH is very bleak as it stands, with Coco pretty much the only offensive threat of the bunch. You can only get so far with a team full of 700 OPS hitters, why get rid of your only 800+?

Because as our primary DH Cust has had two unacceptable seasons power-wise of .177 and .166 ISO. Now I know Berkman just posted .166 ISO, but I believe he just had an injury-marred down season, where as Cust has changed his approach, to his detriment. Also, his .395 OBP was fuelled by a .387 BABIP.

The White Sox would be a good match, and they've been interested in the past.
