D. Price for G. Sizemore

Postby bigieshake » Sun Nov 07, 2010 9:24 pm

What do you think guys? Sizemore has been injury prone, but his ceiling is still high? i would only be able to use Sizemore in the DH spot. i'm leaning towards rejecting it but would like some input from more of the seasoned veterans in fantasy baseball.

I came out in last place last year and I want to bounce back. It's a 20 team league and here are my "best keepers" for next year. I have to keep 14. one player at each position allowed.

A. Gordon
BJ Upton

Thanks again!

Ed, it looks like you'll need a whole lot of your players to finally reach their potential if you're to improve for 2011, but there has to be another deal out there for Price.

No way am i doing this trade. Price's ceiling is IMO much higher than what Sizemore's is. Just a couple years ago Price was the next big thing and he took a big step forward to show that he is still capable of meeting those expectations. He has some work to do, don't get me wrong. Sizemore on the other hand has a lot of talent but I am very concerned about his injury history. I am not sure we will ever see Sizemore back to what he was doing a couple years ago. I think you have to project him at about 20/15 with a .265 BA and 150K's and anything more than that is gravy. Price should be considered a top 15 maybe even top 10 SP for next year and looking at your rotation I am not sure that I would deal him.

If you believe that Sizemore will come back fine next year then I would look to deal Beckett for him. Both are players that have battled injuries but could easily get back to there pre-injury form.
