Their portrayal of us stat nerds is hilarious, plus there's some amazing baseball quotes and a guest appearance from Mike Scoscia (again). Not a single mention of BABIP or FIP though.
Bill James: I make baseball as fun as doing your taxes!
Baseball is a game played by the dexterous, but only understood by the Poindextrous.
Marge: Flyballs and fungoes come and go, but family lives forever. Homer: Sorry Marge, but I call bullcrap on that. The '69 Mets will live forever, but does anyone care about Ron Swoboda's wife and kids? Not me.
Rocinante2: you know Rocinante2: its easy to dismiss the orioles as a bad team ofanrex: go on Rocinante2: i'm done Rocinante2: lmao

Man, this show is truly in its twilight years...
Boooo. They had a horrible run of 6 years or so but it's been on the comeback trail for a couple seasons now. It's gone from painful and unwatchable to actually decent.

I think most people stopped watching early last decade and now just assume the new seasons are crap by default.
I've stopped watching new Simpsons episodes about over five years ago. To be fair, I've paid less attention to TV over the last five years and it takes me a while to catch up to all the acclaimed shows. However, The Simpsons was so lousy 5-6 years ago and was pretty much discouraged from tuning in as regularly as I did before because of it.

You missed the best part of that quote:
Marge: Flyballs and fungoes come and go. But families are forever. Homer: Sorry Marge, I’ve got to call bullcrap on that. The ’69 Mets will live on forever. But you think anyone cares about Ron Swoboda’s wife and kids? Not me. And I assume not Ron Swoboda.
Also great:
Announcer: “That’s why anyone who invested with Lenny Dykstra really should call that number, lawyers are standing by.”
and
Lisa:You made me love baseball not as a collection of numbers, but as an unpredictable passionate game beaten in excitement only by every other sport
