Final weekend:Worst 3 days of the year for stats

Pitchers getting shut down, guys who aren't really hurt calling it a season just to be safe. Pitchers going 2 or 3 innings, the all reserves starting lineup. and many other combos that just didn't make for good fantasy play.
So I was thinking about doing away with the weird Mon-Wed final "week" next season and just end the roto season on that Sunday. Matters less in roto than the finals of most h2h but its still kind of an ugly way for many tight championships to be won & lost. Was suggested we could just make everyones lineup illegal and would get no stats so the league records wouldn't be changed by the final 3 days. Would that make sense to have the fantasy year end 3 days early for a little "truer" stats being counted? Was thinking of polling my commish leagues to see if most were in favor of ending the season on a Sunday like every year and just blow off the Mon- Wed games they will end with in 2011.

If you want to end the season early don't do the "Illegal LIneup" thing. When you do your settings at the start of 2011, it gives you an option of what week to start your playoffs. Have the season end early and arrange your playoffs to so that they do not include that final week.

Yeah, pretty much every site I've played on let's you set the length of the regular season and the number of playoff weeks. We always make sure that both are completed before the final week of the season. It's brutal to drop a spot in the rankings cause your ace got rested so he can start a playoff series.

Since the season is starting on Thursday and ending on Wednesday, does anyone know if the fantasy weeks will still be Monday thru Sunday or will they be Thursday thru Wednesday?
