Alright. I am not officially worried. I have this guy in two leagues and I was quite excited to steal him in the 3rd round in one of them. Great.

Now the reports out of ChC training camp are that he is on the shelf indefinitely until he is pain free. Does anyone know anything more about this or is this all that there is to know at the moment?

From what I've heard around here, he'll just miss a start or two.

Last I heard they put him on the DL and expected his first start to be between April 12 - 19.

Mar 26 Because of ongoing tenderness in his right Achilles tendon, Prior's bullpen session on Thursday was postponed indefinitely. There's also no timetable in place for getting the righthander back in the Cubs' rotation. Prior won't pitch in any scenario until he is pain-free.

Advice: The cautious approach makes complete sense, but there is the possibility that this injury will be an ongoing concern this season. The fact that the same tendon was a minor problem last September raises a red flag. The Cubs are hoping that once a healthy Prior can work pain-free on the mound, which is where the tendon clearly absorbs the most stress, the problem will be over.

I think STATs made it sound worse than it is. Prior cancelled the bullpen session and the Cubs said that it wasn't a setback they were just being cautious.

i dont know, i tend to not get carried away. and LOVE the fact that the cubs are being overly cautious, BUT cancelling another bullpen session due to lingering tenderness is NOT a good sign.

My draft isnt until april 4th, I wonder how much his price will plummet by then.
