Keepers for 2011 - Thoughts..

Postby maestro1313 » Fri Sep 24, 2010 12:17 pm

Standard 5x5 - H2H League
We keep 2 franchise players for 4 years and 1 transition player we have to match price at auction to keep.

My pick of player to tage are:
Carpenter / Papelbon / Wandy / Utley / Beckett / A. Beltre...

What 3 would you keep? (2 franchise - 1 Transition)

My returning team:
Adrián González 1B

José Reyes SS
Alexei Ramírez SS

Jonathan Sanchez SP
Max Scherzer SP

Alex Rios OF
Matt Kemp OF
Jay Bruce OF
Carlos González OF

Geovany Soto C

Leo Nunez RP

Thanks - Maestro

I think your 2 Gonzalez's are easy keepers.

I'd probably have Kemp as my transition player but it completely depends on other managers in your league. If you know some guys will write off his 2010 and still pay top dollar for him, I'd tag Scherzer. He has potential to be a cheap steal and you could stay out of the bidding.

Sorry... I must have said that wrong...

I only have to pick keepers from the first group.

Carpenter / Papelbon / Wandy / Utley / Beckett / A. Beltre...

I have all the others on contract for at least another year.
Thanks

I'd pick Carpenter and Beltre

I really don't think Papps will be the closer next season

I think I'd put my 4s on Utley and Beltre. Not sure if you have to keep them all 4 years once signed, but Carp is getting up there and I'm not sure I'd bank on him being elite past 2011.
