Is Justin Upton dropable in a non-keeper?

Postby kaiser » Tue Sep 07, 2010 3:48 pm

No bench spots available because of my pitching needs, and since the D-Backs have not DL'ed him, what the heck do I do with Justin Upton?

Anyone have any clue if the Backs plan to use him regularly again this season?

Depending on who you would get to replace him, I would wait because they did say that he was available to pinch hit, and they wouldn't say that if there was no chance for him to come back. ARI being out of it, they have no reason to hurry him back. If you are already stashing him on your bench and now need to replace him for Pitching, if it's a shallow enough league I say go for it, but don't be shocked if you don't get him back. Good Luck.
I guess there was no curse... Boston just sucked for 86 years...

He is. I'm sorry you lose a great player at this point of the year, but Arizona would be crazy to rush the franchise back at this point. They might, but you play the percentages here and turf him.

That's what I am thinking, too.

And depending on your waiver system, you can continue to track him, too. It's not like he's gone from you forever.

I dropped him for Jim Thome. Who would have thought it?
