Porcello or D. Lee

Postby yoda87 » Mon Sep 06, 2010 3:49 pm

I've clinched a first round bye, and I don't think I need Derrek Lee anymore, with James Loney holding down 1B. I want to get more SP for the playoff run. My rotation already contains aces like J.J., Oswalt, Halladay, & Verlander.

Do I drop Derrek Lee for Rick Porcello for the playoffs?
I guess there was no curse... Boston just sucked for 86 years...

I would.

Loney is a solid choice at 1B, and with DLee and his back injuries he does not look like the same player he was just a year or two ago with the Cubs. Either way you are looking at just about the same 1B either way you look at it with DLee compared to Loney. Plus you can never have enough pitching in the playoffs.

Great thanks to soto for the sweet sig!...

I would definitely go for that. Lee is useless at this point.

I like dropping Lee for the SP, but is Porcello the best FA SP there is? He's servicable but still risky.

Yes, you got Glaus, Hinske, and Freeman to vulture time at 1b, stay away.
