I swear that the book is out on Matt Kemp. I don't watch him in person frequently, but I track his ABs and I swear he falls behind 0-2 more than any other player in the Major Leagues. I think pitchers know this and groove strikes to him knowing he is not going to be aggressive at the plate.
Anyone know how to prove if my notion is correct? Does Kemp get more 0-2 counts than any other MLB player?
Gracias.

Awesome... thanks GF! I did go through an took a random sampling of full time OFs and there looks to be some truth to my statement about Kemp. He had the highest percentage of 0-2 counts for all of the players I selected. I also wasn't surprised to see Jayson Werth high on the list also.
Check it out...
Player PA 0-2 %
Kemp 132 576 22.9%
Lind 112 535 20.9%
Byrd 113 546 20.7%
Werth 113 561 20.1%
Kubel 93 499 18.6%
C Gonzalez 99 537 18.4%
Ibanez 97 533 18.2%
Hamilton 95 559 17.0%
Rios 92 548 16.8%
Damon 83 526 15.8%
R Braun 90 580 15.5%
C Lee 83 542 15.3%
