I think everyone's overblowing this. Rasmus asked for a trade earlier in the season. The Pujols quote wasn't "we need to get him out of here", it was, "if he doesn't want to play here, then we need to get him out of here". He then went on to say stuff about how Rasmus should just keep his mouth shut and let management handle these things. Bottom line, Cards don't have to trade him by any means. Rasmus may or may not be looking for a trade anymore...
