I'm not biased towards either team but just from everything that happened Nyjer wasn't wrong for charging the mound. You don't plunk someone then throw behind their back twice in the same game. He took his first plunk and then got back to the game of baseball by stealing base to get his team going.

Everyone's saying him plowing over the catcher was the reason for this but that's horse crap. That's a part of the game too! This whole 'unwritten' rule stuff is junk. Why is he being attacked for playing baseball? (hitting the catcher and stealing bases when on base)

I don't see him doing any wrong here. I would have charged the pitcher too.

I haven't seen what happened with the Marlins' catcher, but the Cards' catcher he ran over was so far away from home plate that Morgan missed the plate in order to hit him.

According to sources, there is no question that all the things that have happened since the August 21st incident will be looked at by MLB.

It's possible Morgan will be given a suspension in the range of 5-10 games, on top of the seven-game suspension currently under appeal.

The fact that he's a repeat offender could factor into MLB's decision. Typically when a player is facing discipline, he stays quiet and out of trouble throughout the process, but MLB will take notice that Morgan has not done so.

I didn't know that he separated Hayes' shoulder. I hope he gets the book thrown at him for that.
