You're right....instead of practicing for twenty minutes too long, we should be paying our players and recruiting convicts......funny thing is our PR would probably be better than it is now if that was the case.
you may want to ask WV if too much practice was their only problem with Richrod.

The atmosphere of compliance thing? If anything WVU's problems help RR's case as far as it being his fault for what's happened considering the coach who followed him is guilty of the same thing. It's been a miscommunication within each athletic department that was blown up by a newspaper desperate for attention and got it by initially making outrageous claims (ie that Michigan was practicing nine extra hours per week instead of a mere twenty minutes). There are plenty of soundbites from those who know college football saying that if every program was investigated like Michigan was, that 95% of them would be guilty of the same offenses and that the 5% that weren't would be programs that don't win games. In short, the entire Rodriguez fiasco was created by the Detroit Free Press who has been successful in unfairly putting a black stain on the program's PR from a national standpoint.
I say this knowing full well that Rodriguez shouldn't be back if they don't improve this season. I'm not his biggest fan as far as the lack of success the last two years but the idea that he runs a dirty program is a huge misconception. It's funny that the same newspaper that goes on a witch hunt against their program would praise MSU's Dantonio for giving a bunch of thugs a second chance. Granted, their program has been recruiting those types of players well before Plaxico Burress, TJ Duckett, Charles Rogers and a lot of other players....but it's always been funny to me that a group of nine players can walk into a dorm with black ski masks on, beat up innocent students and practically get away with it. That is...if you were producing.....the ones who got kicked off the team were the only ones who didn't see any playing time. Heaven forbid practicing for twenty extra minutes though.... ...it's comical.

Dude, Oregon players robbing and beating each other up is soooo 2009-10. Booting Heisman candidate quarterbacks off the team because they can't keep their freaking nose clean is the new Oregon Ducks.
